Description
The client required a freestanding tensile membrane structure to cover existing play equipment. In collaboration with Wright Outcomes Engineers, two designs were submitted to the school for consideration. The design chosen was ‘Lotus Stems’ due named for its rolled steel posts finished with hot dipped galvanising and 2 pak paint.
Sail Structures installed the posts in one day dealing with the constraints of an existing playground and close proximity to the sports hall. The Serge Ferrari 502 tensile membrane was installed during school hours within a safe temporary fenced working environment.
This tensile membrane playground structure represents “the very best quality” in Far North Queensland, a credit to the client and their school community.
